Gaza hosts film festival on human rights

(MENAFN) Gaza City is hosting the Red Carpet Festival for Human Rights Films, which was launched on Monday.

The festival is set to present movies on human rights of which Palestinian, Arab and international cinema directors produced.

The event is aiming to deliver a message across the world that says: “enough for 12 years of Israeli blockade and enough for 12 years of internal Palestinian division that left around 2 million Palestinians living in a very hard living situation.”

The festival’s executive director Montaser al-Sabe’a stated: “the title of this year’s festival is ‘Bekaffi’ which means enough, enough for the continuation of the status of internal division that violated the Palestinian’s dignity and the future of his children.”

The executive director added: “through the cinema, we want to tell the world that we want to live a normal life like others.”

Red Carpet Human Rights Film Festival “Red carpet HRFF” is a festival for short and long narrative and documentary films will be held in Gaza Strip to highlights human rights issues, mainly in Palestine and generally all over the world.
