  الانتفاضة الفلسطينية الأولى، عام 1987. القادة الفلسطينيون يدعون المجتمع المحلي لإيجاد بدائل عن المنتجات الإسرائيلية. فتقوم مجموعة من الناشطين الفلسطينيين بإنشاء مزرعة لإنتاج الأجبان والألبان بثمانية عشر رأساً من الأبقار. وما إن يكتسب منتج “حليب الانتفاضة” الذي ينتجونه النجاح، حتى يأمر الجيش الإسرائيلي بإغلاق المزرعة

معلناً الأبقار خطراً على الأمن القومي. يواظب الناشطون على العمل، مخبئين الأبقار في الكهوف ويتستمرون في إنتاج الحليب الفلسطيني. هذه قصة المطاردة التي يخوضها أقوى جيش في الشرق الأوسط ضد 18 بقرة

The first Intifada, 1987. Palestinian leaders urge communities to develop alternatives to Israeli products. In response, a group of Palestinian activists start a collective dairy farm with 18 head of cattle. Once their “Intifada milk” gains popularity, the Israeli army orders the farm’s closure, declaring the cows a threat to national security. The activists persevere, hiding the cows in caves and continuing to produce Palestinian milk. This is the story of the most powerful army in the Middle East chasing 18 cows.

About Director:

Amer Shomali is a Palestinian practitioner using art, Digital media and technology as tools to explore and interact with the sociopolitical scene in Palestine focusing on the creation and the use of the Palestinian revolution iconography. He holds a master’s degree in animation from the Arts University Bournemouth in the United Kingdom and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Birzeit University, Palestine. He was born in Kuwait in 1981, and is currently based in Ramallah, Palestine.

Paul Cowan

Veteran Canadian documentarian Paul Cowan received an Oscar nomination for his 1979 doc Going the Distance. He also directed the controversial docudrama The Kid Who Couldn’t Miss, and was the cinematographer for the Oscar-winning 1983 short Flamenco at 5:15. A Palestinian born in Kuwait in 1981 and now based in Ramallah, Amer Shomali uses art, digital media and technology to explore and interact with Palestine’s sociopolitical scene, focusing on the creation and the use of Palestinian revolutionary iconography. He has a masters’ in animation from Bournemouth University.
