Since 1956, 80-year-old Yousef has lived in a shack in Roshmia Valley with his wife Amna. Life is quiet until the municipality of Haifa endorses a new road project across the valley which will result the demolition the shack. Aouni, who looks after the couple, acts as a middleman between them and the municipality; negotiations lead to tension among the three characters.

Salim Abu Jabal (born 1971, Occupied Golan) graduated from Haifa University in Theatre and Arabic Literature in 2004. He has worked in cinema and TV as a production manager and a casting director on several Palestinian and international films. His filmography as director includes THE LANGUAGE OF ALMONDS (2011) and SEPARATION DIARY (2012).

وُلد عام 1971 في الجولان السوري المحتل. درس المسرح والأدب العربي في “جامعة حيفا”. عمل في العديد من الأفلام السينمائية الدولية والفلسطينية في اختصاصات متعدّدة، كما أنتج برامج تلفزيوينة، وأخرج أفلاماً وثائقية لصالح قنوات تلفزيوينة. من أفلامه مخرجاً “لغة اللوز” 2011، و”مفكرة الرحيل” 2012.
